“So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:34
Worry, it steals our peace and robs us of our joy. It saps us of our energy and greatly hinders our effectiveness. It’s been said that most of the things we spend time worrying about never actually happen. And I believe it.
We have all been called to be wise and diligent stewards of everything we have. We till our land. We sow our seeds. We cultivate the crops.
We may even step back and ask: What’s the best crop for this land? How do I prepare the soil? When is the best time to sow? How do I cultivate? What’s the best way for me to collect and process the harvest?
We cannot add to our harvest by worrying about it. Instead we make our timeline and focus all our energies on today’s tasks. Be satisfied knowing that we’re doing the best we can today.
I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope. Peace be with you.
