In your 40s:

- Vitamin D - 2000 iu daily to help hormones
- Folic acid - 400 micrograms, raise to 600 micrograms daily if pregnant
- Iron - 18mg daily for red blood cell health, 27mg if pregnant
In your 50s:- Multivitamin designed for those over 50
- Calcium - 1500mg daily
- Vitamin B12 - 2.4 micrograms daily, since it's not absorbed into the body as easily
In your 60s, you should reassess your multivitamin and add supplements for any new health developments as appropriate.
