The overarching theme of David’s life is despite who he was in the eyes of others or how good or bad he behaved, God remained at work. When he was nothing, God moved forward with his promise. When he had to wait and hide, God’s was moving. When he experienced success and favor, God used him to accomplish his purposes. When he was arrogant and sinful, God still moved his plan and his promise forward. Even in his brokenness, he still gave David hope of a Messianic King. So David’s story is still a story about God, and that’s why we can find hope that our story is truly about God, not about us. Thank goodness.
In the third week of this series, Tiffany Staman teaches about success and blessings in our life, and the important role making exceptions in our lives has when it comes to sin.
