189. Using Our Anxiety for Good with Dr. Tracy Dennis-Tiwary
Anxiety used to be understood as something you felt, not something you had – at least that’s how I understood it until the point in life where I just couldn’t grasp the bigness of everything and couldn’t shake the sense of impending doom. So I kept productive and outran those feelings, which made things better… until it didn’t. Running can’t solve those problems. As Dr. Tracy Dennis-Tiwary puts it, “The key to feeling good is knowing how to feel bad.” She’s the author of Future Tense: Why Anxiety Is Good for You (Even Though It Feels Bad), and if you’re anxious about your anxiety then she’s someone you need to listen to.
