French-born, now also an American citizen, Cyril has been calling California home
for the past 14 years. Having lived and traveled in many countries over the years, he
has a highly International and multicultural background, considering himself a citizen of
the world.
In the summer of 2022, he successfully crossed from California to Hawaii in a solo,
unsupported, and 100% human-powered kayak expedition. The crossing took 91 days
and 9 hours, and he was the first to ever do it.
He is also a Guinness World Record holder for the fastest crossing of the Mid-Pacific
from California to Hawaii in a 4-man “Classic” Ocean Rowing Boat. That record was set
in July 2016 in the time of 39 days, 9 hours, 56 minutes.
