Description: This course explains the hierarchy of nonverbal imitation skills and verbal imitation skills for SLPs to work on during therapy to increase communication in children. It will discus real examples and go over a couple of approaches to use to facilitate imitation skills. Earn 1 clock hour of continuing education credit (Introductory Level, Professional Area).
As a result of this presentation the participant will be able to: 1. List 3 levels of nonverbal imitation 2. List 4 levels of verbal imitation 3. Describe two approaches for facilitating imitation
