👀 Satoshi Nakamoto’s wallet now holds over 100 BTC after receiving an inadvertent transfer of 0.10754671 BTC, valued at $7,211. This brings the estimated total value of the wallet, which has remained untouched, to approximately $6.75 million. On May 17, at block height 843,872, an individual mistakenly sent 0.10754671 BTC to Satoshi’s wallet. Arkham Intelligence, a platform for on-chain monitoring and data, was the first to detect this erroneous transaction. “Someone accidentally sent 90% of their BTC holdings to Satoshi Nakamoto last night,” Arkham reported on Twitter (X) here https://lnkd.in/dKenaWsK. “They were attempting to sacrifice an Ordinal for [Pups Token], but accidentally sent almost their entire wallet balance instead — around $7K in BTC.”

💡 Grayscale Investments CEO Michael Sonnenshein has stepped down, with Peter Mintzberg set to succeed him starting August 15, according to SEC filings. Grayscale, known for having the largest Bitcoin ETF with $19.37 billion in assets, has recently faced challenges, including significant withdrawals after converting GBTC into a spot Bitcoin ETF in January and abandoning plans for an Ethereum futures ETF. Mintzberg, the former global head of strategy at Goldman Sachs Asset and Wealth Management, brings extensive experience from his previous roles at BlackRock and Oppenheimer Funds, and holds degrees from Harvard University and Stanford University.
