Philip Moeller is an award-winning financial journalist, author and entrepreneur. He also has written “Get What’s Yours for Medicare: Maximize Your Coverage, Minimize Your Costs,” which is designed as a companion volume to Get What’s Yours for Social Security. Phil tackles aging and retirement issues for Money Magazine and PBS in his “Ask Phil” column. He is a research fellow at the Center on Aging & Work at Boston College, and also co-author of “How to Live to 100,” a U.S. News & World Report e-book. Phil founded Insure.com, an Internet pioneer that became the leading online provider of consumer insurance information. He sold that business and later was a corporate communications executive for a Fortune 500 financial services firm. He then returned to journalism as a Contributing Editor at U.S. News & World Report, where he wrote The Best Life column on retirement and successful aging from 2008 to 2013. Phil graduated from Princeton University and has a master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, where he also taught.
