Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has declared this to be “Freedom Summer” in Florida. We start the show today with a discussion of Freedom Summer in 1964 and whether or not DeSantis has ever heard of it, and if he has, what he might mean by making this declaration while leading the most freedom-restricting state administration in half a century.
