Miami Players Embracing Competition On Deep Hurricanes Roster | Mauigoa And Richard Speak Out

The Miami Hurricanes have their deepest roster in years. Starting jobs will be earned on the Greentree practice fields. Are Miami’s players embracing the competition or running from it? Running back Mark Fletcher revealed this week that he loves the fact that Damien Martinez has joined the team. Fletcher even texted him to help recruit Martinez to The U. Francis Mauigoa tells host Alex Donno that he has also reached out to Martinez. Mauigoa has been working hard to recover from an offseason shoulder issue and says he is back to around 90%. He assures Donno that he will be ready for the first game of the 2024 season. Miami will face the Florida Gators in Gainesville on August 31st. 

Cornerback Jadais Richard also joins Alex Donno to talk about Miami’s defense and how the unit is coming together. Richard is thrilled with new cornerbacks coach Chevis Jackson and talks about working on his press. Richard describes how dangerous Miami’s front seven is about to be.
