#280 - Mile races are not very popular anymore. But when we think back to mile races, we may think of Roger Bannister breaking the 4-minute mile for the first time and how incredible it must have been. Or, we think of how this distance evolved into the 1500-meter race we have today. Or maybe, you think of the Beer Mile races that are rising in popularity today. There's something about the Miler to me that conjures storytelling, history and the romanticism of running. That's what makes it such a magical distance. Listen to this week's show to it's history, to the men and women who broke records and to a mile race that you can enter today!
