Abba Father (Galatians 4:6)

"And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba! Father!'" (Galatians 4:6).

You are God's son or daughter. In your Baptism, God sent His Holy Spirit into your heart to give you faith. And there is nothing that shows this faith than crying out to God. This faithful outcry comes because you live in this fallen world.

The Holy Spirit guides you in your prayers. You can go from cries of anguish to shouts of exaltation in faith. The Psalms show you how to pray in the Spirit. The Spirit that cries, "Abba! Father!" because you are His child. Amen.
