In this episode of the Million Dollar Mastermind podcast, host Larry Weidel is joined by Siddhi Mittal, Co-Founder of Yhangry, chef marketplace that helps customers book private chefs to come and cook for any occasion. Along with her Co-Founder Heinin Zhang, Siddhi won BBC Dragon's Den in 2021, securing £100,000 in funding. In 2010, Siddhi was one of 50 North American students selected for the Google FUSE summer camp internship. She then spent almost six years at Barclays Investment Bank, starting in securitized products trading and advancing to VP of Financial Credit Trading in 2015.
In 2019, Siddhi joined Google for Startups Female Founders Program, where she mentored and collaborated with other startups for eight months. Today, Siddhi shares her inspiring journey through the ups and downs of entrepreneurship. She talks about how COVID-19 initially crippled their business by making it illegal to book private chefs, but they quickly adapted by offering online cooking classes, which led to a successful pitch on Dragon's Den. Siddhi also dives into her diverse background, from competitive Bollywood dancing to trading on Wall Street, eventually fueling her entrepreneurial success.
