BONUS EPISODE -- Report: Lakers Pursuing UConn Coach Dan Hurley

As far as Woj Bombs go, this one was atomic. 

The Lakers, he says, are targeting and have entered negotiations with UConn head coach Dan Hurley to become their next head coach. This was extremely shocking news, as everyone -- like truly everyone who does reporting on this -- didn't see it coming. All of the attention has been on ESPN's JJ Redick, and to a lesser extent, New Orleans assistant James Borrego. The Athletic's Shams Charania had reported earlier in the week that Redick had become the frontrunner, and that talk of how Redick might staff up. 

There is still a lot left to do. Connecticut will move mountains to try and keep Hurley in Storrs. And it might work. But Hurley has told his players that this is real, so over the next few days we'll see how things progress.
