10@9 No One Called You - June 7, 2024

Today's date on the Jewish calendar, first day of Sivan, is momentous as it mentioned explicitly in the Torah that the Jewish People reached and camped around Mt Sinai, in anticipation of God's Revelation whose celebrated anniversary is the upcoming Holiday of Shavuot. Today is the anniversary of the date on which the Jewish People reached a level of unity and cohesiveness never achieved before or since. But we keep trying. This morning I share a brilliant story by Rabbi Meilech Biderman, which teaches us a powerful tool we can use to work toward that goal. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law. ADATH is a modern orthodox synagogue community in suburban Montreal, providing Judaism for the next generation.
