We will follow him. And we will proclaim Jesus as Lord
because it is through him that we obtain true life and true freedom. And it is through him that we are forgiven. And it is through him that we are adopted as
God's own. And as heirs to the promises
of God. For Paul, it is important that
we as Christians proclaim not ourselves,
but to proclaim Jesus as Lord and ourselves as only faithful servants as
messengers or even errand runners of Jesus. Like Paul who gave of himself for the sake of Jesus.
Give of ourselves for the sake of Jesus Who is at the heart
of the Gospel? As God has given Paul the
light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus God has done the same for us, so that we see God's glory in Jesus and point to others, not to ourselves, But only to
Christ. And in doing so, we affirm God's
light, which has continued to shine out
of darkness.
