While we know all the famous names of those who helped to found the United States of America, there were thousands of others who are much lesser known but who burned with the fires of patriotism when our country's very existence was on the line. In this episode, Tracie is joined by Abigail Medford, who tells the story of Annis Boudinot Stockton, a woman who, talented and accomplished in her own right, put everything on the line to make sure America was born. (Also, there is a little reading/book talk at the beginning of this episode that may give ideas to listeners on how they too can discover real people in the past who made a difference that lasted centuries!)
