This week on #TubtaNabadda, we mark World Refugee Day, celebrated globally on 20 June. We discuss ways to promote a safe, welcoming and conducive environment for refugees and displaced individuals in Somalia.
In the first segment of the programme, we hear from June Munala, Senior Protection Officer with UNHCR Somalia. She talks about initiatives tailored to the needs of Somali refugees and asylum-seekers to ensure their safety, well-being, and access to essential services in the country.
In the second segment of the programme, UNHCR Somalia Representative Charles Mballa talks about the significance of the World Refugee Day. He also speaks about how UNHCR supports the Somali government in enhancing the protection of all displaced individuals.
