Education:Self-Improvement
Preparing today’s children for the futuristic tomorrow. Part 1
As our children’s online presence increases, so does their exposure to digital risk. It’s crucial for us as educators and parents to understand and address these risks (cyberbullying, harmful content, inappropriate pop-ups). How can educators and parents create more positive influences that will contribute to a shrinking population? How do we prepare our children to build positive relationships when they lack basic social skills?
I invite you to find a comfortable position and join me and my special guest as we explore how a ranked charter school prepares its students for the futuristic digital.
This panel discussion format reveals the importance of old-school core competencies that a digital community cannot replace. I am honored to welcome Mrs. Kathryn Cohen (principal of Eleanor Kolitz Hebrew Academy) and vice principals Mrs. Simian Jawanda and Mrs. Tracy Smith. This is the first part of a series of episodes revealing how EKHLA strengthens core skills that metamorphosis into community, communication, and positive self-regulation strengths.
