Don’t listen to your fears.
“If you listen to your fears, you will die never knowing what a great person you might have been.” - Robert H. Schuller
One of my favorite gospel songs was called, “Stir Up the Gifts”. It was based on a passage from 2 Timothy that included these words: “, “For God hath not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Fear immobilizes us. It stops us from doing the things we need to grow. It stops us from making the changes we need to make. It even stops us from seeing the potential we have within us. This type of fear is not from God.
What is from God are discerning minds that can see the possibilities within us, the courage we need to step into those possibilities, and the love required to nurture ourselves and each other until those possibilities are reached.
We must not allow fear to stop us from becoming who we were meant to be.
I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope. Peace be with you.
