We're joined in this Guildhall events podcast by one of the Guildhall School’s youngest professors, acclaimed violinist Roberto González-Monjas, ahead of his appearance with Guildhall String Ensemble concert on 19 February 2016.
Schoenberg’s richly expressive Verklärte Nacht lies at the heart of the programme, and the concert opens with Latvian composer Peteris Vasks’s 1983 requiem, Musica Dolorosa. Karl Hartmann’s most famous work, written during the first months of the Second World War, completes the programme.
