Breathe in.
Breathe in the delicious air of morning.
Let it fill your lungs.
PAUSE
While breathing,
center yourself,
and prepare
your heart and mind
for meditation.
PAUSE
Now, imagine if you can,
sitting on a park bench
in the morning.
The sun has risen,
and the early morning dew
is glistening like emeralds
on the grass.
PAUSE
You draw in a breath,
a breath that fills you
with life.
Life like that in the park.
PAUSE
Nearby, a woman
walks three large dogs.
You smile,
as it appears
the dogs are
walking her.
PAUSE
Off to the side,
you notice two mothers
sipping coffee and chatting.
They glance at each other,
then cast their eyes on
the playground
where their sons play
Pirate Ship
on the jungle gym.
PAUSE
In the distance,
a man and woman,
move gracefully
over the grass,
practicing Tai Chi
like an elegant dance.
PAUSE
Imagine now,
a whirring noise
coming up behind you.
As you turn,
you see a
group of bicyclists
the park.
PAUSE
You draw in another breath,
and prepare to go back home.
As you walk through the park
to your street,
the energy of the park
flows through you
and carries you
through the day.
