How many apples in a seed?
“Anyone can count the seeds in an apple, but only God can count the number of apples in a seed.” - Robert Schuller
We live in a world that demands tangible, measurable results. We comfort ourselves with data and metrics. We want to know that we are doing the right things, that our efforts matter, that we are making a difference. We want to know.
We want apple trees, but we can’t sow apple trees. We can only sow apple seeds. While we can count the seeds in an apple, we will never be able to count the trees in a seed. We can only trust and sow.
The confidence and trust that these seeds will one day become apple orchards is faith. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)
We sow the seeds and trust God to give the apples.
I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope. Peace be with you.
