A movement called “deconstruction” is sweeping through our churches and it’s affecting those we love. It has disrupted, dismantled, and destroyed the faith of SO many.
Alisa Childers shares how she was led into questioning what she believed about God and the Bible. It was more than reconsidering data, it was a painful fissure in her relationship with God.
She questioned whether the Bible could be trusted, if the people in the Bible really existed and was told that the crucifixion was a form of “cosmic child abuse.”
She spent about five years wrestling with God and she walked away with a limp but she says, “I’d rather walk with a limp on solid ground than without one on thin ice.”
Then, have you ever felt unreasonably anxious? Shawna leaves tomorrow for Australia to welcome her first grandbaby and she’s a little anxious about flying internationally alone.
She’s anxious about what her daughter will experience in labor. And not knowing when that will happen. Having had a recent panic attack she’s paying attention to all she’s feeling and she’s trusting God with each and every part of it.
Then Perry shares, “If you knew my top ten sins you’d do one of two things. You’d never listen to me again. Or you’d find hope that you too can be forgiven of your top ten sins!”
