Despite the lack of a clear motive for the death of the "vibrant" 61-year-old mother and the unexplained amount of blood in the bedroom and bathroom, the district attorney sought help from Leslie's friend, Dr. Mary Jumbelic, a retired medical examiner, to unravel the mystery.
