Miles highlights their time together with the Indiana Sports Corporation, reveals what kind of leader he was when he trying to get the Indiana Sports Corp. up and running, shares everything that went on to bring the Pan American Games to Indianapolis in 1987, tries to envision what downtown Indianapolis would be like if Jim didn’t have the visions he did, and labels Morris as the architect of downtown Indianapolis.
(19:37-39:52) – Dustin Dopirak from the Indianapolis Star joins Query & Company with Jake Query & Jimmy Cook to discuss if he believes Tyrese Haliburton will have trouble turning the switch back on the be the main source of offense for the Pacers after his role as a facilitator for Team USA. Also, Dustin highlights what he has seen from Jarace Walker, Johnny Furphy, and Ben Sheppard in Summer League. Finally, he evaluates how the minutes have been allocated so far because there are a couple players that he wants to see but haven’t played yet.
(39:52-56:26) – Ed Carpenter joins Jake and Jimmy after the doubleheader in Iowa over the weekend where he voiced some frustrations about the beginning of the hybrid engine. He joins the show today to explain what he was expressing yesterday with his frustrations, explains how the hybrid engines could impact the fan engagement because of what the engine doesn’t allow drivers to do, and discusses his future in IndyCar as a driver.
