Disability is not Inability with Billy Price

Billy Price had an accident in his first year in college, which left him disabled from the chest down.

For 18 years, Billy could not wear shoes by himself. For this reason, Billy’s creative juices were triggered, and when his friend Darin pitched him his idea for a shoe business, Billy was ready to hop in. Together Billy and Darin Donaldson have created functional and fashionable shoes that can be worn by anyone independently.

Today Billy will share their entrepreneurship journey, and I hope we can all borrow a leaf or two.

Billy believes in building connections. Through his connections, he has met people who have opened doors for his brand to get onto the big shelves. He argues that we work towards connecting with people who can be instrumental in our journey.

• Build your network. It might open doors that you cannot open for yourself
• Build your business because nobody will do it for you
• Don’t be afraid to fail. We learn through failure.
