RICKY SCHRODER | Planted in Hollywood by God and Government (Ep.628)
In this episode, we welcome Ricky Schroder to the show. He is an actor, filmmaker, and the founder and president of Reel American Heroes Foundation, a nonprofit organization that exists to provide content that celebrates America’s true heroes. He began his acting career at age nine in The Champ, earned a Golden Globe, and kicked off a multifaceted career as an Actor, Producer, Writer, and Director. Renowned for roles in Silver Spoons, Lonesome Dove, Scrubs, and 24, he transitioned to directing with Black Cloud, winning accolades for directing Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss's "Whiskey Lullaby" music video. In this interview, we discuss what it was like to become a successful actor at such a young age, the government program that he claims “planted” him in Hollywood when he was a child, how he was able to stay sane while simultaneously being a child star, how he became a Christian, how he is able to operate in Hollywood as an outspoken Christian Conservative, his read of what will happen to our country after the Presidential election, the societal issues caused by the ubiquity of pornography and its accessibility by children, and much more. Let’s get into it…
