The LeBaron family massacre refers to a tragic incident that occurred on November 4, 2019, in the state of Sonora, Mexico. A convoy of three vehicles, carrying members of the LeBaron family, who are part of a Mormon community with dual Mexican and American citizenship, was ambushed by suspected members of a Mexican drug cartel.
During the attack, nine members of the LeBaron family were killed, including women and children. Some of the victims were shot at close range, while others were burned alive in their vehicles. The attack sparked outrage both within Mexico and internationally, drawing attention to the ongoing issue of violence perpetrated by drug cartels in the country.
In 2019 members of the Lebaron family, a Mormon family that lives in Mexico were ambushed by members of the Sinaloa cartel. In that ambush women and children were murdered and burned. Since then, there have been several different theories about what went down and what led to and now author Sally Denton is putting forward a new theory.
