Locked On Tigers POSTCAST: Detroit Tigers BLOWN OUT By Kansas City Royals | Tigers Bullpen Shelled

The Detroit Tigers fell to the Kansas City Royals on Friday evening at Comerica Park. The Tigers started strong with Justyn-Henry Malloy smashing a two-run homer in the 1st inning, but that would be all the offense Detroit could muster. Tarik Skubal pitched solidly for six innings but surrendered a solo shot to Salvador Perez, who went 3-for-5 with 2 RBIs, and Hunter Renfroe followed with an RBI double. The game slipped away in a disastrous 7th inning where the Tigers' bullpen gave up six runs, including both a wild pitch and an RBI double by Perez. Detroit managed just two hits and struck out six times, putting a damper on Malloy's early heroics. The Tigers' record now stands at 52-58 as they look to bounce back in the next outing.
