Driskell Center. Presently serving as an Assistant Professor of Art at Montgomery College Takoma Park/Silver Spring, he is represented by Morton Fine Art in DC. Booker's creative journey is deeply influenced by the historical significance of quilts in the Underground Railroad, conveying messages of liberation and hope. His intricate drawings, often using fine-liner pens, interweave elements from Hip Hop music, African wax fabrics, and Gee’s Bend quilts, reflect the tapestry of African American history, culture, and mysticism. Through his expressive art, Booker captures the essence of emotion and narrative, drawing viewers into a visual exploration of Afrotopian ideals.

Founded in 2010 in Washington, DC by curator Amy Morton, Morton Fine Art (MFA) is a fine art gallery and curatorial group that collaborates with art collectors and visual artists to inspire fresh ways of acquiring contemporary art.
