(00:00-24:09) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing some of the things that Shane Steichen said about his team entering year two. Tennis Olympic medalist Rajeev Ram joins Jake & Jimmy to share what the experience was like in Paris, explains what is like living in the Olympic Village, assesses how true it is that Olympians “let loose” once they are done competing in their event, compares this Olympic run to his first time medaling with Venus Williams, shares how much pride he had representing the United States on the podium with him being a first generation American in his family, and provides some clarity to Jake on how an Olympian goes through TSA with a medal.
(24:09-41:12) – NBC Sports Swimming Analyst Rowdy Gaines makes a return to Query & Company to highlight some of the countries that outperformed his expectations, compares Leon Marchand to Michael Phelps with how dominant he was in the pool for France, wholeheartedly believes that Lily King will be competing in the 2028 Olympics with it being held in the United States, and provides what his experience has been like traveling around to different events now that swimming is complete.
(41:12-47:22) – The first hour of the program concludes with Jake and Jimmy discussing the struggles for the Chicago White Sox with Jake mandating that their losing streak ending tonight.
(47:22-1:11:18) – Dustin Dopirak from the Indianapolis Star joins Query & Company to preview Team USA’s quarterfinal game this afternoon against Brazil, highlights who he believes would be the biggest challenge for Team USA following their game against Brazil, tries to predict if Tyrese Haliburton will get any minutes in any of the final games for Team USA, and does believe that if Haliburton was a better defender, then there is a good chance Derrick White wouldn’t have been selected to replace Kawhi Leonard.
(1:11:18-1:26:22) – Whilst out at training camp yesterday, Jake noticed something when it comes to the Indianapolis Colts and the rest of the NFL during training camp. It leads to a large conversation about how teams approach camp and a bigger discussion on practicing on different surfaces during camp compared to playing on during the season.
(1:26:22-1:32:46) – Jake and Jimmy conclude hour two by discussing how Andrew Nembhard is performing for Team Canada in their quarterfinal game against France.
(1:32:46-2:08:19) – ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder is the final guest on today’s edition of Query & Company to weigh in on where things are at with the safety battle for the Indianapolis Colts, assesses if they are running out of time to get a player in at that position to get them up to speed prior to week one, does believe that Jonathan Taylor will be one of the select few that won’t play in the preseason because of his workload during the season, and evaluates how comfortable Anthony Richardson looks this year compared to last year.
