Founder of the Be the Light: Overcoming through Storytelling initiative, Elaine Mingus shares her story of surviving childhood sexual abuse, addiction and self-harm. As a mother of seven children, Elaine and her husband, Noah, homeschool their children as they run CurbVulture, a vintage furniture business in the Austin, Texas area. Elaine serves as Mrs. Austin AMB and uses her storytelling in conjunction with the global non-profit Not On Our Watch which fights online exploitation of children. Elaine uses speaking engagements, podcasts, online trainings and social media to remind people that stories give hope to those listening and gives practical tips on how to communicate effectively both online and offline.
