Bail hearing continues for suspects arrested over illicit drug lab in Groblersdal
Three Mexican nationals and two South Africans, facing charges of drug manufacturing and dealing, will continue their bail hearings at the Groblersdal Magistrate's Court this week. The court has directed the state to present a photo album showing the crime scene, after a group of suspects was arrested during a raid by the Hawks, where a massive illicit drug lab was discovered at Thaba Monate farm in Groblersdal, two weeks ago. The lab, described by authorities as the largest ever found in South Africa, was used for the clandestine production of crystal meth valued at over R2 billion. It was hidden in dense bushland at the foot of a mountain, several kilometers from Dennilton.
