Losing weight is at the top of the 'health goals' list for many people, but achieving a healthy weight often feels like an uphill battle. We are bombarded with conflicting advice, advertising, diets and protocols, and most of the advice is unhelpful, and can even be harmful.
Integrative nutritionist, Elyse Comerford, says healthy weight loss (or gain, if that is what is needed) is a natural side effect of good health. There are many factors that can be affecting your weight - it's never as simple as 'calorie restriction and exercise' for weight loss. (If only it were!) Weight issues are usually a symptom of deeper health issues. We need to take our focus off the symptoms and instead look at root cause, if we are to make long-term changes.
In this podcast, Elyse talks about three main areas that need to be considered to achieve a healthy weight: stress, nutrition and detox pathways.
