The Cleveland Browns didn't need to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars to stay in the thick of the playoff hunt, but a win would certainly help.

At the half, the Browns led the Jaguars 14-7, thanks in large part to some Joe Flacco magic and two touchdown passes to David Njoku. For Njoku, it's the first multi-TD game of his young career.

The first TD came on a 3rd-and-1 play action shot that left him with about 50 yards of space between him and the closest defender. It was a beautifully designed play by Kevin Stefanski. The second score came on another play action TD, except this time, Njoku broke a tackle and sprinted to the end zone.

The Browns defense also showed up to play, sacking Trevor Lawrence twice in the opening 30 minutes and holding Jacksonville to one score. The Jaguars only TD came on a short field pass to Evan Engram, which was set up after Amari Cooper fumbled in the Browns own red zone.

In the 2nd half, the Browns forced a 3-and-out on the first JAX drive and turned that into points when Kareem Hunt took a wildcat snap from 3 yards and out and found the end zone. That made it 21-7 CLE.

However, Antonio Jackson sacked Joe Flacco and forced him to fumble, which set up a 1-yard Travis Etienne TD run to cut the Browns lead to 21-14.
