VICTORY MONDAY: DTR leads GW drive, Myles Garrett BULLIES Pickett & the Cleveland Browns are 7-3!
It's a very special victory Monday in Cleveland, as the Cleveland Browns improve to 7-3 with a last second win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cleveland is 7-3 now for just the third time since returning to the city in 1999.
DTR did the unthinkable in this one, leading the Browns on a game-winning, 4th quarter drive after doing almost nothing else offensively in the 2nd half. Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who was making just his second career head start, had a roller coaster type of game, but played his best when it mattered most.
DTR led the Browns down the field, going 4/4 on the final drive, which set up a 34-yard FG from Dustin Hopkins to give Cleveland the 13-10 win.
That didn't stop the Browns from signing Joe Flacco this morning, who is expected to join the team's active roster on Monday. Flacco, who hasn't played at all this season, is expected to take on a "mentor" role, according to Mary Kay Cabot. We'll believe it when we see it.
The Browns defense dominated the Steelers all day long. Myles Garrett sacked Kenny Pickett twice and outside of a long TD run from Jaylen Warren, made Pittsburgh's attack look pedestrian.
Also, Corey Bojorquez, Dustin Hopkins & James Proche all get some love for coming up big in this one. Bubba Ventrone transformed the Browns special teams unit from worst to essentially first in a single season.
Now, the Browns sit at 7-3 on the season and have an 82.1% chance to make the playoffs, according to ESPN's FPI.
HAPPY VICTORY MONDAY, CLEVELAND!
