BEHIND THE GLASS: DESHAUN WATSON INJURY UPDATE: Cleveland Browns QB speaks on hurt shoulder & return date
Deshaun Watson is still battling a right shoulder/rotator cuff injury as the Cleveland Browns prepare for a Week 7 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.
DW4 spoke to the media this afternoon for the first time since missing the Baltimore game, and tried to clear the air on a few things.
For starters, Watson confirmed the injury is to his rotator cuff is a strain and he's still day-to-day. He did not practice on Wednesday. Watson said it's not a pain tolerance issue, but an issue with his ability to throw the ball with the velocity & accuracy needed to succeed on the NFL level.
Watson also said he's not sure if he'll get back to 100% this season, but is making progress and doing everything the doctors ask of him in rehab.
He also said if he's not 100%, he won't put his team at risk by playing at a level below his standard.
Kevin Stefanski said if DW4 can't go against Indy, PJ Walker would get the start in his place.
