It takes something pretty special to wrestle some attention away from the Euros these days, but the US Open last night was a hilarious snakes & ladders of the world's best players charging to the top of the leaderboard before falling back in increasingly daft and humiliating ways. The final result was a win for Spain's Jon Rahm, and there was drama elsewhere too as Leona Maguire came agonisingly close to a first win on the LPGA tour... and even Murph had an unforgettable incident on the fairways of West Clare. Our Men's 7s team qualified for the Olympics at the weekend, and captain Billy Dardis gave an emotional interview moments after the final whistle which summed up just how big a moment this was for the sport in Ireland. Plus, the Euro news just keeps on coming as Scotland's young tyro Billy Gilmour tests positive for Covid.
