Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX:TEM) managing director Don Smith sits down with Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss site preparations for a 5,000-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Remorse target within the Yalgoo Project in Western Australia.
After significant delays due to unforeseen weather and flooding, the company has established safe access, allowing for the commencement of earthworks, including site access and drill pad construction. Drilling is expected to begin later this month upon completion of these preparations.
The Remorse target, on the eastern side of the Yalgoo Project, was chosen based on geochemical and geophysical anomalies identified during surveys. Tempest Minerals has interpreted a 4-kilometre area within this target as prospective for copper-zinc mineralisation.
The Yalgoo Project encompasses 1,000 square kilometres in the Yalgoo region, situated near notable operations such as 29 Metals Ltd’s Golden Grove mine, Spartan Resources’ Yalgoo Gold Project, Silverlake’s Deflector and Rothsay gold mines and Capricorn Metals’ Mt Gibson Gold Project.
