Bristol Rovers (H) & Rochdale (A) - Preview - Season 21/22, Episode 40
The Cumbrian Bragging Rights Cup came back up the A595 at the weekend as United saw off Barrow and more importantly, picked up another three points to move a step closer to securing EFL football next season.
In the latest episode of The Brunton Bugle, Dan and Lee look back on last weekend's success on the Furness peninsula, with plenty of chat about the state of Barrow's Holker Street ground, Kristian Dennis' reward for his hard work in recent weeks and the need to start the work in the background to secure Simmo as manager for next season.
We also look ahead to another two games including the clash of L2's form-teams at Brunton Park this weekend when Bristol Rovers make the long trip up from the southwest. Then there's our preview of the midweek trip to Rochdale, where we speak to Chaff from the RochdaleAFC.com podcast to discuss the ongoing off the pitch issues the club has faced this season.
On top of all that, there's some chat about the midweek Cumberland Cup defeat to Carlisle City (and some of the youth lads being naughty boys on social media), a round-up on how United's players out on-loan are getting on, a catch-up on the exploits of ex-Blues have in the last week and another question of the week from Mike for you to have a crack at.
Your host Lee Rooney is in Liverpool and is joined online by Dan MacLennan in Carlisle. You can find us on Twitter @bruntonbugle, Facebook (search for "Brunton Bugle") and email us with any questions, suggestions and feedback to bruntonbugle@gmail.com.
