ComCom calls for beefed up Kiwibank

The Commerce Commssion's final report into the personal banking sector's found there's a lack of obvious and aggressive competition among the big banks, with no disruptive maverick. It nominates Kiwbank to play that role - but says it needs more capital to do that and the government should explore options.
