Summer rebounds in part of Northeast and Southwest

A gradual warmup is coming to a large part of the Northeast for the last week of August, while some areas will have to deal with stagnating temperatures and frequent showers; also, a record run of 100-degree days came to an end in Las Vegas on Friday, but AccuWeather meteorologists warn the heat will return to Sin City and other parts of the West this week.
