Hackers in other countries that want to do harm to America see an opportunity. They see it as a perfect weaponâa weapon that can be used to kill, injure, or dehydrate a fairly large area. Â
And this is no longer science fiction or a threat that we might have to worry about in the next decade. Instead, physical infrastructure is now fair game for state-sponsored hackers who have the capabilities to, among other things, poison the water supply. With the stroke of a few keys on a computer, Chinese, Russian, Iranian, and North Korean hackers are able to taint the very water that comes out of our taps.
In fact, the FBI director recently revealed how a Chinese Communist Party-linked hacker group has quietly infiltrated various critical infrastructure systems in the United States, and is now just waiting for orders to strike.
This is all part of the new global battlefield, where world powers donât compete against each other directly using kinetic weapons, but rather constantly trying to exploit each otherâs weaknesses under the surface.
And so today, weâll peel back the veil a little bit and give you a glimpse into these water wars, as well as some advice that you might take to protect yourself and your family.
