60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday: What a Difference a Postcard Makes
Hello to you listening in Wallingford, Connecticut!
Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga.
Back in the day we wrote thank you notes, letters, and sent picture postcards when we traveled. Things changed - as they do - with the digital age. We were suckered into thinking that family and friends would be satisfied with a text message and a silly emoji. Not so!
I’m here to tell you what lightened and brightened my day when I walked out to the mailbox was to find a picture postcard - from my dear friend and podcasting (Take It From the Iron Woman) colleague and author Susanne Mueller - mailed from her hometown Thune, Bern, Switzerland - where she had been visiting family - with a few handwritten lines to say, “Hello!” I have the card on my dining room table because it makes me smile. Thank you, Susanne!
Story Prompt: When have you received something unexpected that lightened and brightened your day? When have you lightened and brightened someone else’s day. How did it feel? Write that story!
You’re always invited: “Come for the stories - stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, would you subscribe and spread the word with a generous 5-star review and comment - it helps us all - and join us next time!
