Can a case be made from the New Testament accounts? If Jesus was worshiped in this way, what does this mean, given the culture and religious beliefs of the time? The first century Jews knew better than to place their worship or adoration in anything other than the God who created the Universe; to do so would be to break the first commandment of God. Yet it seems that those closest to Jesus were eager to worship Him.
