Halifax woman may find it easier to get MAID than the province to pay for her treatment
After years of fighting with Nova Scotia’s Department of Health and Wellness for access to out-of-province care, Jennifer Brady has applied for Medical Assistance in Dying. She has lymphedema – a life-long condition that causes fluid build up, and can result in painful swelling, increased risk of blood infection and cellulitis.
