North Bay Resources CEO Jared Lazerson joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the commencement of test milling operations following the arrival of the first gold ore shipment from the Fran Gold Project. This marks a significant step forward for the company as it begins the testing and optimization of its milling process to extract gold from the ore.
The initial phase of the milling process will focus on testing the jaw crusher to reduce the ore size to minus ½ inch, making it suitable for feeding into the ball mill. The ball mill will further reduce the ore to minus 150 mesh, after which the material will be converted into a slurry and moved to the gravity separation table. This final step aims to extract free gold and other valuable metals from the ore.
In addition to the milling updates, Lazerson shared that North Bay Resources has received a tailings pond inspection report from its environmental engineering firm. The report confirmed that there are no issues or degradation of the tailings pond liner at the Bishop Gold Mill’s Waste Management Unit. The company is also working on a De-watering Plan and updated Waste Management and Closure financial projections with its civil and process engineering firm. These documents will be used to assess whether the current $250,000 closure bond requirement will need adjustment by regulators.
With these critical steps underway, North Bay Resources is making steady progress in advancing its Fran Gold Project towards full-scale production while ensuring compliance with environmental standards.
