What role should antidepressants play in managing chronic pain in older people?

People over 65 are being prescribed antidepressants as pain treatment based on studies that either exclude older adults or include only a small number of them. 

Researchers from the University of Sydney say guidelines should reflect the unique needs of older adults, including the known harms of antidepressant use for this cohort.
