Will there soon be supply shortages similar to what Americans experienced during Covid-19?
3:10pm- Dockworkers Launch Massive Strike. Paul Berger of The Wall Street Journal writes: “Dockworkers at dozens of U.S. ports are digging in for a massive pay increase, seeking to flex their power in a strike that aims to strangle the flow of trade across much of the country…About 60% of containerized trade moves through the East Coast and Gulf Coast ports where ILA dockworkers last year unloaded about $588 billion of imports, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence…J.P. 3:40pm- While speaking in Augusta, Georgia, Vice President Kamala Harris bizarrely bragged about the Biden-Harris Administration providing $750 in federal aid to Americans who have lost their homes, or been forced to abandon their homes, due to flooding from Hurricane Helene. Rich notes that the Biden-Harris Administration has sent over $100 billion to Ukraine, and yet there doesn’t seem to be much money or support going to American citizens in desperate need of help.
3:50pm- Mayorkas Says FEMA Lacks Funding Because of Billions Spent on Migrants. Caroline Downey of National Review writes: Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas warned Wednesday that the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which has spent more than one billion dollars on services for illegal immigrants over the past year, now has insufficient funds to last through the hurricane season. ‘We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have.
